Lycia is the historical name of the Tekke Peninsula, which juts into the Mediterranean on Turkey’s southern coast.This 9-day programme consists of walking and discovering of natural historical places and cruising in blue waters of the Mediterranean. The outstanding monuments of Lycia would welcome you upon your visit the fabulous bays. The history, the sun and the sea have altogether carved out a wonderful beauty that you may consider it a genuine loss not to live through such an experience and feel the unique azure sea.

General Information:
This Cruise is memorable way to get to know Lycian Coast, the most beautiful place in the Mediterranean region. Lycian Coast runs along the southern coast of Turkey from Fethie to Antalya. Lined by Taurus Mountains that decorated with white rocks, pine trees and oleander trees, this area contains the hidden monuments and the remnants of Lycian civilization and is one of the best preserved areas of the notorious Greco-Roman period. It is an area with a numerous hidden treasure in its notable natural cavities. During relaxing cruise you discover the traces of Greek, Roman, Phoenician sailors travelling with valuable goods to Aegean coastlines – a wonderful area with rocky peninsulas, thousand of bays, sandy coves and numerous historical remains. Cruise along the magnificent Lycian coast of Turkey and explore the beautiful ancient cities with stunning landscape, places that have remained inaccessible for a long time, free of any population.
Day 1: Arrival in Antalya
Welcome at the airport and transfer to your hotel in the historic Old Town of Antalya.
(Overnight in Antalya – 1 night)
Day 2: Termessos – Hike from Alacasu to Tekirova
After breakfast, we travel to Mount Güllük at an altitude of 1,650 meters to visit the world-famous ancient city of Termessos. Afterwards, a one-hour transfer takes us to the starting point of our first trekking route.
Your first hike on the Lycian Way leads from inland down to the coast, reaching the ancient city of Phaselis. There is time for swimming and exploring the Lycian ruins, including the agora, theater, baths, and Byzantine remains. The hike continues to Tekirova.
Walking time: approx. 3 hours – Elevation gain: 150 m
Overnight in Çıralı (3 nights).
Day 3: Tekirova – Çıralı
After a short transfer (20 minutes), today’s hike follows the turquoise coastline. The beaches along the way are among the few places in the Mediterranean where Caretta Caretta sea turtles lay their eggs.
Our destination is Çıralı, a small and peaceful village located in a protected natural area—an insider tip far from mass tourism. The long sandy beach invites you to relax and swim.

Day 4: Beycik – From Ulupınar via Yanartaş (Eternal Flames) to Çıralı
After breakfast, we transfer (approx. 1.5 hours) to the Ulupınar Valley in the mountains of Olympos National Park. Walking through pine forests, we reach Yanartaş, the “Burning Mountain,” where natural eternal flames emerge from the rocks.
In ancient times, this site was dedicated to Hephaestus, the Greek god of fire, and remnants of this ancient cult site can still be seen. We then descend to the lush gardens and sandy beach of Çıralı.
Walking time: approx. 5 hours – Ascent: +600 m / Descent: –300 m
Day 5: From Çıralı via Olympos and Mount Musa to Adrasan
Today begins with a visit to the ruins of the ancient coastal city of Olympos, where you will see remains of temples, baths, and the acropolis perched on a coastal cliff.
The trail continues uphill along Mount Musa through maquis vegetation, deciduous forests, and strawberry trees. There is an optional detour to the ancient mountain city of Olympos. The hike then leads through citrus orchards down to Adrasan Bay.

Overnight in Adrasan (3 nights).
Day 6: Adrasan – Cape Gelidonya Lighthouse – Karaöz
Today you hike the King Stage of the Lycian Way, offering breathtaking views of mountains, turquoise sea, and dramatic cliffs. A narrow path winds uphill to the Gelidonya Lighthouse, the symbol of the Lycian Way, with stunning views of Water Island and the Five Islands.
Afterwards, return transfer to Adrasan.
Walking time: approx. 7 hours – Elevation: ±400 m
Day 7: Free Day in Adrasan
The day is at leisure to relax, swim, or explore the surroundings.
Day 8: From Kapaklı via Simena Castle to Üçağız (Kekova)
Transfer to Kapaklı with two stops: one at the Byzantine Basilica of St. Nicholas in Demre, and another at the ruins of ancient Myra, famous for its impressive Lycian rock tombs carved into towering cliffs.
From Kapaklı, we hike through rolling hills to the ruins of Istlada and along the scenic coastline of Kekova.
Overnight in the small harbor village of Üçağız (2 nights).
Walking time: approx. 5 hours – Ascent: +100 m / Descent: –130 m
Day 9: Kılıçlı – via Apollonia and Aperlai – Üçağız (Kekova)
After a transfer to the village of Kılıçlı, we hike to the ancient city of Aperlai across slopes covered with olive and carob trees. A long bay stretches between two mountain ridges, creating a beautiful natural swimming spot near the ruins.
The return to Üçağız follows a narrow coastal path, with the option to visit the ancient city of Apollonia.
Walking time: approx. 6.5 hours – Ascent: +80 m / Descent: –380 m
Day 10: Boğazcık – Fakdere – Limanağzı Bay
Along the route, we visit the bays of Beş Adalar, Hidayet, and Limanağzı, where remains of what is believed to be the world’s oldest shipwreck can be found.
Kaş was founded by the Lycians under the name Habesos and later called Antiphellos by the Greeks. During the Hellenistic period, it became an important harbor town.
Walking time: approx. 6 hours – Ascent: +270 m / Descent: –360 m
Overnight in Kaş / Sısla (2 nights).
Day 11: Phellos – Çukurbağ – Kaş
After a short transfer, we reach the ancient city of Phellos, where we explore ruins, rock tombs, and mosaics. Walking through a landscape rich in history and natural beauty, we arrive at the village of Çukurbağ.
After a short break, we continue towards Kaş, enjoying panoramic views of the sea and nearby islands.
Walking time: approx. 4.5 hours – Ascent: +60 m / Descent: –180 m
Days 12–13: Blue Cruise
Anchors up—we set sail! On a two-day cruise, we travel from bay to bay along the coast, passing the ruins of the Sunken City of Kekova.
Experience the Lycian Way from a different perspective, with swimming breaks and relaxing hours on the sun deck of our boat.
Day 14: Demre – Antalya
After breakfast, we travel to Çayağzı Harbor. Farewell to the crew, then we sail back to Antalya, where you will stay overnight in your hotel in the Old Town.
Day 15: Departure
Transfer to the airport and return flight home.

The first part of the programme provides an overnight in the pensions.You will be relaxed and enjoy your evenings at the pensions in the historical places with its natural beauty and in close vicinity of the seaside. Being far from the stresses of urban living you’ll be satisfied your holiday. All rooms are furnished with wooden furniture and feature air conditioning, shower, toilet.
