Day 1. Arrive at Kayseri or Nevsehir Airport and transfer to Mustafapaşa
On arrival at Kayseri Airport, you will be met and transferred to Mustafapasa, overnight there. The village of Mustafapasa was formerly known as Sinasos during Ottoman times when it was inhabited by the Greeks, who also built many of the churches. There are some impressive mansions with colourfull wall paintings.
Day 2. Mustafapasa - Gomeda valley - Ortahisar
The trail today takes you through vineyards on the east side of the Gomeda Valley. At one point the road goes down in the valley and you start walking on a single track path following the river. The Gomeda Valley is very picturesque, rich in rock houses, bird houses, rock arches, small vegetable yards and abundant vegetation. First you’ll face with Korikos and St.Bazil churhes. Then will approach to the springs rich in iron and sulfur. Discover there Kepez, Sarica and Pancarlik churches. After around 2 hours walking in the shade of the valley you turn west and go up and out of the valley on a dirt road until you reach Ortahisar, famous for its natural fortress. Overnight at pension in Ortahisar.Walking time: 5h 30min.
Day 3. Ortahisar Hallac Monastery–Kizilvadi- Gulludere-Cavusin
Leave the pension in the morning to discover historical and natural beauties. After a walk of about 20 minutes will reach an 11th century Hallac Monastery cut into the eroded volcanic rock form. At the same time the place also called Hallac Hospital because of the priests that make therapeutic drugs for people there. Afterwards will go to Kizil Valley and Gulludere, the area with different layers of easily eroded volcanic ash that gives the colorful tones to the place. Have a lunch break at Kizilvadi (Kizil Valley). Here will discover Kolonlu and Hacli churches.You will be amazed at he variety of landscape that opens from Bozdag rocks. Passing through the vineyards will get the St. John church where Jesus was baptized to confess his sins.Walking time: about 6 hours.
Day 4. Akvadi- Uchisar – Güvercinlik – Göreme
This morning we trek thorough the Akvadi valley, also known as the White valley. We walk through the valley following an old river bed surrounded by fruit gardens and vineyards. The fairy chimneys in this valley are particularly slim and distinct from those seen on the previous day. Then the way will take us to Uchisar village to visit the high viewpoint known as the "fortress" (a volcanic ash peak) and where we have rewarding panoramic view on all the surrealist Cappadoccia area. After lunch we follow a path to the Guvercinlik (Pigeon valley), and we will see some pigionaries that is holy for muslim people. This valley takes its name from the numerous pigeon houses built in the 18th century, which were carved from any available space including abandoned cave dwellings and were used for the purposes of collecting fertilizer. Later visit Goreme Open Air museum. It contains the finest of the rock-cut churches, with beautiful frescoes (wall paintings) which colors still retain all their original freshness. It also presents unique examples of rock hewn architecture and fresco technique. The Goreme Open Air Museum has been a member of UNESCO World Heritage List since 1984, and was one of the first two UNESCO sites in Turkey. Walking time: about 6h 30min.
Day 5. Ihlara Valley – Derinkuyu
Today will explore Ihlara Valley, near Mount Hasan nad Mount Erciyes (volcanoes of Cappadocia). Mount Hasan. Ihlara valley has been formed at an approximate depth of 150 due that the erosion made by Melendiz river coming from the mountains of Melendiz to the volcanic rocks.The valley were used to hide the first churches of Cappadocia carved into fairy chimneys and caves. It was the first settlement place of the first Christians escaping from the Roman soldiers. In the Ihlara Valley there are hundreds of antic churches caved in the volcanic rocks. It is very pleasant to walk through the Ihlara valley by the vineyards, poplars and pistachio trees to the soothing sound if the rushing water and surrounded by a rich wildlife of lizards, frogs, butterflies, birds and sometimes eagles and other mammals like lambs and sheep. Later visit Derinkuyu – an underground city of Cappadocia. In the late evening transfer to Antalya by nıght bus.
Day 6. Ulupınar – Chimaera - Çıralı
Today our personnel will be waiting for you to pick up you for the next trip to the village Ulup?nar, that wil take approximately 90 minutes. From here your walk along this part of the Lycian way begins. Your baggage will continue by vehicle to tonight’s overnight accommodation, and so can you if you don’t feel like walking just yet. Having lunch break at one of the restaurants of the village head towards the coast and pay a visit to the Chimaera. The eternal flame of Chimaera was so named after a mythical fire-breathing beast, part lion, part goat and part snake. This extraordinary natural phenomenon is a series of two dozen or so permanent fires emerging from the ground, caused by methane emissions and is located within the Olympos National Park towards the top of a 300m high hill. Cirali itself has a long sandy beach and it is one of the few protected beaches where Loggerhead Sea Turtles come to lay their eggs. If you feel like some further walking you can always head towards the beautiful Akdere Creek and visit the ruins of the ancient city of Olympos. Walking distance - 8,5km; walking time - approx 3hrs; ascent 200m, descent 450m. Pension, Cıralı.
Day 7. Cıralı – Olympos - Adrasan
Today’s walk is all inland and more demanding. Following the Lycian Way you ascend through a canyon to a high grazing area where there is a small shepherds hut. Reaching a higher ridge you have great views to the magnificent peak of Mount Olympos. Continuing along the ridge line you now walk beneath the flanks of Musa Dag (Moses Mountain), where a boat shaped stone formation was discovered. Continuing through meadows the trail then descends through small pine trees and down through a limestone gorge to emerge at the spellbindingly beautiful Bay of Adrasan. Walking distance - 17,5km; walking time - approx 6-7 hrs; approx. 720m of ascent and descent. Pension, Adrasan.
Day 8. Adrasan - Cape Gelidonia - Adrasan
A truly wonderful day of coastal walking lies ahead as you walk to the upper lighthouse at Cape Gelidonia. A short vehicle transfer takes you to the start of the trail which then twists and turns through pine woods and crags high above the coastline. The trail occasionally follows the cliff edge itself and affords dramatic views to hidden coves below, as well as across the sea to a series of tooth like uninhabited islands. Contouring the hills of this remote Gelidonia peninsula, the trail climbs to reach a crest and then descends to the upper lighthouse. This isolated, famous lighthouse has no electricity or phone. Pausing to take in the breathtaking views out to sea and along the coastline of the peninsula, you’ll then head down through pine forest to reach the shore line once more, which you will then follow to the village of Karaoz from where a vehicle transfer returns you to your Pension in Adrasan. Walking distance approx. - 15km; walking time - approx. 7 hrs; approx 700m ascent and descent. Pension, Adrasan.
Day 9. Adrasan-Antalya
After breakfast you then take the daily public bus back to Antalya (cost approx. 7 euro per person), then from Antalya bus station, a taxi (cost approx 14 euro) back to your Pension in the old part of Antalya. The bus usually departs Adrasan at around 08 00hrs for the 2 hour journey back to Antalya. Here you’ll have the rest of the day free to explore the area, to try turkish hamam (bath), do shopping and etc. Overnight in pension of Antalya.
Day 10. Airport Depart Antalya.
A private transfer will be provided from the Pension to Antalya Airport to coincide with check-in time for your departing flight.

Arrangements & Transfers:
You will be met upon arrival at Nevsehir or Kayseri Airport on day 1 of the trip and transferred to your first night’s accommodation in Mustaphapasa (approx. an hour). At the end of the trip on day 10 you will be transferred back to Antalya Airport from your Pension in Antalya. Transfers will be timed to coincide with your flight arrival/departure times.
Baggage:
Please make sure that your baggage is clearly marked with your name, inside as well as outside, in case the labels get detached. We request you limit your main luggage to one piece per person and recommend you to pack your clothes in plastic bags to ensure they remain dry. As your main baggage will be transported by vehicle a normal suitcase can be used for your main baggage. During the walking day you’ll carry only your usual daypack.
